Arts and Creations

Preserving memories that will warm your soul...literally! Do you possess remnants of fabric that just bring a smile to your lips or a tear to your eye? Perhaps a tiny little piece of your blankie or the first soccer uniform that you ever wore - both can be transformed to be part of a memory quilt. How better to preserve these cherished memories than to create a one-of-a- kind quilt?! Perhaps you came across a new material in a craft store that sparked an interest in creating a quilt? Either way, join us to create several different styles of quilt squares to help you in that process. Use our sewing machines or bring your own.  A materials list will be emailed prior to the first day of class. An additional fee of $10 for community materials is required, payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Instructor: Amy Holt

Health and Wellness

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga was created in India more than 1000 years ago and focuses on yoga postures, breathing, and relaxation techniques.  In this 90-minute class students will start with a brief meditation practice, move on to pranayama (breathing) and asana (yoga poses), and finish with 15 minutes of deep relaxation.  After class your mind will feel rested, refreshed, and peaceful.  Yoga will also help you to increase strength, range of motion, and flexibility. This class is appropriate for all levels of students, ages 14 and up.  Modifications will be used for beginners and for more advanced practitioners.  All students should wear comfortable clothing to class and bring a yoga mat, yoga block, yoga strap, and blanket or towel to each class.   Instructor:  Julia Fournier-Rea
