Superintendent Search

posted Sep 16, 2015, 10:02 AM by Dianne Georgantas
The community is invited to complete a survey regarding the desired qualities of our next Superintendent of Schools.  A link to the Survey is here:  **Link to Survey of Desired Traits in the new Superintendent**  The School Committee is asking that anyone living in Longmeadow, whether or not you have children in the schools, take the opportunity to have your voice be heard. The more residents who participate provides us with a more well-rounded picture of the qualities that the community desires to see in our next Superintendent.

Another way for community members to participate in the Superintendent search is to attend a stakeholder meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to have discussion with Dr. Rush, consultant with Ray and Associates, based upon questions that he will ask. Community members will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Rush without School Committee members present and without being recorded for broadcast. The absence of these two factors was a decision that was made by the School Committee to allow people the opportunity to be able to share their thoughts and to speak freely.
The first Community Stakeholder Meeting will be on Wednesday, October 7th from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm in Room A15 of the Central Office of the Schools.  The second will be in the same location on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 8:00 am - 10:00 am.
