TIES Showcase

posted Mar 24, 2015, 10:00 AM by Dianne Georgantas

We are very excited about our 2nd Technology in Education Showcase (TIES),  which takes place March 26ththis Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Longmeadow High School. The public is invited, so bring your family and friends to take part in this fun evening.  The mission of TIES is to offer an opportunity for students to showcase projects that incorporate technology. Project based learning provides students with the opportunity to think creatively, investigate a subject in depth, expand technology skills and hone presentation techniques.
The Technology in Education Showcase offers K - 12 students and teachers an opportunity to showcase technology integrated projects created as part of their instructional curriculum in their schools. At the event, students and teachers will demonstrate technology in use, speak about what they have learned, ask attendees to get involved by solving a problem, completing a task, building a device or interacting with the technology.   We even have NAO, the programmable robot giving demonstrations.
Please join us this Thursday for TIES!
