2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR

Longmeadow Public Schools will again have a fee-based transportation program for students in grade seven through grade twelve who live in Longmeadow and have access to the established school bus stops.  The fee for this service for the 13-14 school year is $175.00 per student.

Students in grades kindergarten through six who live two miles or more from their school will be transported free of charge.  These students will be receiving their transportation passes in the mail by the start of school.

Students in kindergarten through grade six who live less than 2 miles from school are also eligible to purchase a transportation pass for $175.00 if they have access to the established route stops.

Transportation passes will be issued after August 21, 2013. The Central Office will be moving back to Longmeadow High School on August 16, 2013. To purchase a transportation pass, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the School Department Business Office, 535 Bliss Rd, Attn: Transportation.  Please include: student’s name, address, school, grade and a check in the amount of $175.00 payable to “Longmeadow Public Schools”.

We also offer an online payment option. Please check the Quick Link on the District website at LPS Online Payment Center – Transportation.  A list of bus stops will also be available on the website.

Students will have until Friday, September 13, 2013 to get their passes.  At that time, the School Department will institute a “No Pass-No Ride” Policy. Any student who has lost their transportation pass will be assessed a $5.00 replacement fee.
